Destiny

[Machine Translation] The long-awaited first vinyl release of the second solo album by Syuya Okino (KYOTO JAZZ MASSIVE), who continues to captivate dance floors around the world. Titled *Destiny*, the album themed JAZZ MEETS BOOGIE" features an equal mix of covers and original compositions. It is an ambitious work by Syuya Okino, who not only demonstrates his skill as a DJ but also takes on the greats as a composer. GILLES PETERSON, one of the world s top DJs, selected the track Still In Love" as the No. 2 song of the year for 2010 on his radio show WORLD WIDE." House legend Danny Krivit also played Still In Love" heavily. Licensed by Defected, one of the UK s leading labels, the track became a massive hit again in the 2020s following the release of the Still In Love" single on its sub-label, Glitterbox. This album was released in 2011 four years after *UNITED LEGENDS*, which was created entirely through email exchanges with 10 guest vocalists and 10 guest producers, and following the release of two remix albums. Its one-of-a-kind sound, fusing the intellect of jazz with the pleasure of boogie, spans soul, funk, R&B, dance classics, and even techno and disco-dub. The underlying theme was a bold challenge: by having five vocalists each sing one original and one cover song, listeners were invited to compare his compositional skills with those of the greats of the past. This historic masterpiece of the club jazz/crossover scene is finally being released on vinyl after 15 years. The album that cemented Shuya Okino s growing popularity in Europe alongside his live performances with Kyoto Jazz Massive is now being revived.

世界最高峰のDJの一人、GILLES PETERSONのラジオ番組"WORLD WIDE"にて収録曲「Still In Love」を2010年の年間最優秀曲のNO.2に選出。
