Land Of Mine

[Machine Translation] An unreasonable mission left behind by adults. In Denmark after World War II, it was German boy soldiers left behind in a foreign country who removed more than 2 million landmines buried by the Nazis. This film, based on a brutal historical fact, brings the reality of war into sharp relief and challenges the viewer. -In 1945, Denmark was liberated from occupation by Nazi Germany. German prisoners of war are sent to remove the countless mines that the Germans have buried along the coastline. They had little experience with mines. Their supervisor, Sergeant Rasmussen of the Danish army, is surprised to find that they are all innocent boys, but he hurls relentless violence and abuse at them. The boys go through a grueling mission, dreaming of the day they will return to their homeland, but they suffer from hunger and poor health, and one by one they die from landmine explosions. Seeing this, Rasmussen, who had hated the Nazis with a passion, begins to question whether he should make them pay for their crimes. Eventually, Rasmussen vows to fulfill his remaining mission and fulfill the boys' longing to return home. However, he is faced with a new and unexpected hardship...
