吉永小百合がミニスカート、深夜族、ボーリング、スポーツカー、ゴーゴーリズムといった60年代後半の"青春"を取材するテレビディレクターを演じた野心的な青春ドラマ。監督は斎藤武市。――木所香 (吉永小百合)は提出していたドキュメント番組「君が青春の時」という企画が採用され、女性ディレクターとして担当することになった。その企画は、夜な夜な原宿にたむろする「原宿族」と呼ばれる若者たちの生態を描き、その無意味さを通じて青春の在り方に疑問を投げかけるというテーマだった。FMカーで夜の青山を取材し、主役となる原宿族を探すことに。夜が更けてきた頃、主役にふさわしいピン公 (山本圭)というチンピラを見つけ出す。隠し撮りで本格的な取材を進めるも、ピン公に言い寄られた香はコップの水をひっかけ、せっかくのチャンスをつぶしてしまう。意気消沈した香だったが、再び奮起してピン公を追うことに。やがて秘密パーティーに連れていかれる仲となり、ピン公の誘惑に負けず無事に仕事をやり終えた。翌日、香に心を許したピン公に連れられて姉まゆみに会っていたところ、香の恋人五郎に遭遇する。そしてまゆみの同僚であった五郎に二人を騙していることを激しく咎められてしまい・・・。ピクチャーディスク仕様。
