The Sumire-kai, in an effort to take over the quarry, took on the owner Nishio's debt of 5 million yen. However, the local Shoda clan was also in Nishio's business. Tetsugoro, a skilled loan shark in the Shoda clan, was an obstacle to the Sumire-kai. At the request of Zhangmoto, Kito tried to drive out Tetsugoro by force of arms, but was unable to do so.
