いまや台湾ジャズ・シーンの顔役とも言えるサックス奏者、謝明諺 (シェ・ミンイェン)。19歳でプロとしてのキャリアをスタートさせ、ブリュッセル王立音楽院で修士号を取得。ジャズを「自由を表現する完璧な方法であり、自分自身にリアルであるためのもの」と表現する彼は、ジャズのみならずロック、ヒップホップ、エレクトロニック・ミュージック、アヴァンギャルドまでジャンルにとらわれない活動を展開してきた。本作は日本のジャズピアニスト、スガダイローとのコラボレーション・アルバム。当初は2020年にレコーディングされるはずだったがコロナ禍によって3年遅れようやく実現した。東京で活躍する若手プレイヤー、細井徳太郎 (ギター) と秋元修 (ドラム) も加わり、ジャズからその向こう側へと大胆に突き進む、イマジナティブな音世界が繰り広げられている。
