打楽器奏者相川瞳の2作目のリーダー作品。本作品は木の音色が特徴的であるマリンバがフューチャーされた。相川の持ち味である暖かく柔らかな音としなやかな旋律を基調にしつつ、リズミカルでミニマルミュージックの要素を含んだ楽器の新しい可能性を感じさせてくれる瑞々しいサウンドが特徴的。ボンゴやコンガの鋭くシャープな律動、カホンではその楽器の特徴からは少し離れたメロウな味わいを聴かせる。グロッケンシュピールで奏でるメロディはどこかノスタルジックさえ感じられ、厳選されたそれぞれの楽器の音色がスペースを活かしつつ楽曲に絶妙な彩りを添えている。共演者は、様々な音楽シーンで大活躍中のピアニスト林正樹。どこまでも繊細で美しい林のピアノの音色は、空間の中で様々に色・形を変化させ、極上のサウンドが聴く者の耳を包み込む。2人の音の会話の中から生み出される音の立体感とダイナミクスは、『音楽』の生まれる今この瞬間の喜びを体感させてくれる。相川瞳のオリジナル楽曲を中心に構成された本作品は、クラシック、ジャズの愛好家においても、間違いなく新しい刺激を感じてもらえる一枚となっている。
