A free-spirited and exciting life of the Mii you create unfolds on a small island floating in the middle of the sea. The residents are portrait characters called "Mii" that you create yourself. Yourself, friends, family, people you admire... what kind of Mii would you have live there? You create Mii and watch over their lives while taking care of them: the Mii you create live freely on this island where time flows the same as in the real world. They become friends with others, fall in love, and sometimes part ways. As they live their lives, the residents build relationships different from those in reality. As the island's manager, you can take care of them by giving them food, gifting them clothes that suit them, and sometimes helping solve their worries. By picking up a resident and bringing them to another resident, you can also create opportunities for the two to become closer. You can choose to be actively involved or quietly observe, and watch over them at your own preferred distance. You can also create your own island and items: you can freely customize the entire island by expanding it, laying down paths to make it easier to walk, or placing benches to add accents to the townscape.
