70年代新人の登龍門だったヤマハ・ポプコン。そこから多くの才能が日本の音楽界を席巻していった。そして、才能が有りながら、スタンスの保持等の理由から、メジャーの波に乗らなかったアーティスト達もいた。その一つが、この"遠い国の異邦人"(当時名"異邦人")である。ジャンル分けし難いこのグループの1973～1975年の2年余りの活動の中、元"都会の村人"の太田ぼう、金森幸介等のサポートを得ながらの楽曲が収録されていた。今回、40数年を経て真空解凍された大発掘音源が初登場となった!
