This is NOT the Fifth Angel of the 80s - this is a more mature 5A. Which is fine - it's decades later - and it's clear these guys know their stuff. The songs are more mature, and they're a bit heavier as well. However, it's hard to fully get into this album because there is this sci-fi storyline running the entire album with constant voice acting that just gets really annoying. Like, this is infinitely worse than Mindcrime, which keeps the talking to a minimum and still makes the point. Had they kept that story line out of the CD, I could have enjoyed this more. Again, do NOT buy if you want 80s 5A - just listen to the first two records for that. Trust me.
