His life was full of smiles and love, and it was a perfect world for him. But on August 15, 1969, Buddy's peaceful world suddenly turned into a nightmare when a riot broke out. Protestant militants began attacking the city's Catholic residents. Belfast, which had been like a family, where all the residents knew each other by face, is now divided by this day. Buddy and his family are faced with the decision of whether or not to leave their hometown, amidst a life of violence. In addition to a strong cast of British actors including Judi Dench and Jamie Dornan, the film is a gem of a cinematic experience, set to the music of Belfast musician Van Morrison.
