The Abyss Of Despair

The Abyss is a great song, very catchy and great to listen to. Its only downfall is that it's short, but that's what repeat buttons are for...Rebirth is even better than the original, and Fenetre is a wonderful, beautiful slow song. This also includes the screamy Murder Intent, which takes some getting used to. Overall, this are some amazing tracks-support RES!!!

Here's the newest RENTRER EN SOI single, The Abyss of Despair. Forgive the retarded name, 'cause the song slays. Their last two singles were pretty mediocre, but this one does enough to keep me interested in the band. The title track ain't bad at all. It's got the hard edge RES has been honing since before their Self Titled with a fun chorus. Track two is Murder Intent and it reminds me of DEG. Everyone's dismissing RES as a DEG clone, but that simply isn't true. They might be on the same label, but RES is still doing their own thing even when exploring new territory. This has got to be the heaviest song they've done yet. Satsuki sounds very comfortable with the screams and growls and in my opinion, that's a first. Vocals don't sound strained at all. Overall this is probably the cheesiest song they've done. Track three is Re-Birth recording. I hated this song on yurikago, and I hate it here, although it's a vast improvement. If you liked the original, you'll surely dig this one. The last track is killer. It's Fenetre ~into the sky remix~. I think the band has a major knack for remixes and this is no exception. It's their greatest remix to date. Well that's it. Buy this single. It rules.
