Description

[Machine Translation] Katsura Yamauchi, born in 1954, is a saxophonist living in Oita, Japan. Imanishi Benesetsu is a koto player who has been active both in Japan and abroad in a variety of musical genres ranging from classical to improvised and contemporary music. In addition to solo performances and collaborations with other musicians, Imanishi has collaborated with artists in a wide range of artistic fields, including fine arts, dance, and film. Yamauchi and Imanishi performed a duo improvisation at Futari, Tokyo on October 20, 2024. This CD contains two pieces from that performance, each around 28 minutes long. Yamauchi played alto saxophone and Imanishi played koto. Imanishi played the orin for a few moments. As the title of the CD suggests, the two musicians' sounds weave together like wind and water flowing together in a leisurely manner.
