東芝EMIへ移籍しての2枚目にあたる1976年発表のサード・アルバム。世界的にパンク・ロックの台頭によりプログレッシヴ・ロックが衰退する中、日本から世界へ通用するロック・バンドへと着実に深化。本国のバンド以上に英国ロックらしさで勝負した名作。この時期来日する数々の海外アーティストの前座としてライヴを経験～次々とオファーされていた事もありステージを意識した楽曲が増え、「明るめの曲調」や「ハードロック」というキーワードが出てくる。最高傑作との評価が多いコスモスファクトリーというバンドの絶頂期に製作された宇宙規模の作品。ジャケットのイメージとは異なり、前作の路線を継承しつつソリッドかつ抒情的で洗練された内容/サウンドが印象的な一作。Hardなタイトル曲やClassicalなpとstring系synthが奏でるリリカルさが印象的な「The Hard Image」、重厚なメロトロンからポリリズムを駆使したメカニカルかつ攻撃的な展開を聴かせるインスト「A Wonderring Young Man」等、楽曲/演奏も円熟した前二作に劣らぬ秀作!!
