Access/Axs/A-><-S, the definative 90s Japanese synthduo are a must for any fan of Flambouyant British New Wave/Synth pop. From Asakura's wonderfully cheesy Keyboard solos all the way to Takami's homoerotic lyrics, AXS surpass many in the art of unintentional hilarity through use of a Synthesizer. This collection, 'BEST', features not only some of their most popular hits but also their cheesiest and most Power Ranger-like. Despite how funny the music by these two is, the quality is actually very good. Through the tough layer of dazzling 80s-esque veneer it's easy to see that Asakura is a very talented composer and Takami has a very strong [if not frighteningly high at times] voice. In summary: Not only will this album quench your thirst for garish 90s electropop, but also satisfy your hunger for well-meaning, catchy tunes about scandalous incidents with mermaid boys. In otherwords: I LOVE it.
