Originally, Rin Suzuki (Vo/Gt) and Inugenin (Dr./cho) have been childhood friends since elementary school, and they have been playing live for 3 months after Inugenin started playing drums at 14 years old, in addition to Wasimiryo (Ba/cho) who wanted to start a band when he saw the music video of GReeeeN's "Hanauta" at 15 years old. The band's roots lie in the ephemeral musical experiences and joys of their youth, and the six songs on this EP are filled with such elements as "love, freedom, peace, and fun. This EP is a true representation of the live punk rock band THE KING OF ROOKIE. From "Ai to Distance," in which the band sings honestly about what they want to do and what they like in a free and uninhibited manner, to the open and exhilarating "Me-dama Slingshot," and "I My My Mind," which is too fleeting to be called ephemeral, to the impressive pick scratch and shouts from all members at the beginning, this is sure to become an iron plate song at live performances. The band then sings "Short Life," a heartfelt song of gratitude and praise for the things, people, and life itself that they have been involved with up until now, before closing the EP with "Avoiding Boy," a song that leaves a spark of youth that will never be lost.

銀杏BOYZやTHE BLUE HEARTS直系の熱く泥臭いロックを心の奥底まで届ける新潟発ライブパンクロックバンド、"THE KING OF ROOKIE"のNEW MINI ALBUM。元々、鈴木琳 (Vo/Gt)と犬人間 (Dr/cho)が小学校からの幼馴染であることに加え、ワシミリョウ (Ba/cho)が15歳のころGReeeeNの「花唄」のMVをみてバンドを始めたくなったことや、犬人間が14歳でドラムを始めて3か月でライブをしたことなど彼らはルーツに少年時代の刹那的な音楽体験や楽しさがあるわけだが、今回のEPにもそのような"愛、自由、平和、楽しさ"といった要素が6曲の中に存分に盛り込まれている。まさにライブパンクロックバンドTHE KING OF ROOKIEを表す1枚。自由奔放にやりたいことや好きなものを素直に歌う「愛とディスタンス」、開放的で爽快な「目玉パチンコ」、刹那的と呼ぶにはあまりにも一瞬で過ぎ去ってしまう「アイマイマイマインド」から冒頭のピックスクラッチやメンバー全員での掛け声が印象的なライブ鉄板曲になる事間違いなしな「無理、マジ破裂」までかなりのハイペースで駆け抜け、今まで関わってきたものや人、人生そのものへの感謝や賛美をハートフルに歌い上げる「短い人生」を挟み、最後は「避行少年」でいつまでも失われることのない青春のきらめきを残してEPを締めくくる。
