As evidenced by the title, 25, this latest compilation is a timely summation of George Michaels musical achievements over the last quarter century. It therefore includes the well known blockbuster Wham hits as well as the solo biggies. In comparison to the last compilations, Best Of Wham (1997) and Ladies and Gentleman (1998) it offers a far more cohesive picture of George's talents and makes sense as a compilation by including all phases of a celebrated career. There are some new recordings on here. The best of these is a simply stunning version of Heal The Pain dueted with Sir Paul McCartney and which is so good that it easily replaces the original version from Listen Without Prejudice. For this Japan edition you also get 2 bonus tracks (Club Tropicana and Kissing A Fool)which are not on the UK/US releases. This limited edition includes a third disc which showcases tracks from the more recent phases of Georges career. As far as digital remastering goes I have made some comparisons with the aforementioned compilations and I can say that 25 is supebly remastered and blows those earler compilations away. Buy this edition now before it sells out!
