The COMPLETE STONES #11

The Rolling Stones -- Complete Recording Archives Vol.11: The Final Chapter This eleventh and final volume in the ambitious series chronicling The Rolling Stones' complete recording sessions offers a deep dive into a transformative period in the band's history. Unlike their contemporaries, The Stones' release chronology across the UK and US was notoriously inconsistent, making it difficult to follow their true artistic evolution. This series corrects that by presenting recordings in the order they were actually made -- offering a clearer, chronological insight into their creative development, including outtakes and unreleased tracks. Volume 11 picks up during the chaotic sessions that followed the drug-related controversies surrounding the band, continuing from the era of Their Satanic Majesties Request. It includes rare and newly surfaced material such as the long-unreleased "She's Doing Her Thing," the early take of "Child of the Moon" (which would later be released in 1968), and "2000 Man," later famously covered by KISS. This volume captures the Stones on the cusp of transformation in the turbulent late '60s. A definitive installment that traces their evolving sound in recording session order -- essential listening for anyone seeking to understand the band's journey.
