Kamome No Shisen 3

[Machine Translation] The "Seagull's Gaze" series, which has been conveying the beautiful coastline scenery of Iwaki, which no one had ever seen, through paramotor aerial photography and music, will return. The previous work, "Kamome no Gaze 2" (DYNA-2002), was completed shortly after the Great East Japan Earthquake. The quiet townscape was severely damaged and transformed, but the beautiful sea is still showing us its beautiful colors as if nothing had happened. After more than two years of daily flights, I have seen and felt the same scenery as before. The lighthouses are being restored little by little, although at a very slow pace, and the commercial facilities and debris are being cleaned up. On the other hand, the place where time stands still. I realized that I wanted to create a work that would show the Iwaki coastline as it has been up to the present, no less, no more, as I have seen it from various "seagull's eye view" from the sky, and decided to create this work.

誰も見たことの無かった "いわき" の美しい海岸線の風景を、パラモーター空撮と音楽によってお伝えしてきた『かもめの視線』シリーズが帰ってくる。前作『かもめの視線 2』(DYNA-2002)の完成直後に突然襲い掛かった東日本大震災後。長閑な街並みは甚大な被害を受け、変わり果てた姿になってしまいましたが、あの美しい海は、何事も無かったように、今でも美しい海の色を見せてくれています。震災後も以前と同じ様に日々のフライトを重ねる事2年以上の風景を見て来て感じた事。とても速度は遅いですが少しずつ立ち直っていこうとして修復されて行くという灯台の姿や、商業施設、片付けられていく瓦礫の様等の変化や復興への願いを込めたイベント。その一方で時間の止まったままの場所。色々な空からの "かもめの視線" で見てきた様子を、ありのままのそれ以下でもそれ以上でもない現在までのいわきの海岸線の姿を見れる作品を作れればという想に気がつき、今回の制作に踏み切りました。
