This is the 8th volume of the robot animation series produced by Toei Honsha, which started with "Super Electromagnetic Robot Con Battler V." In the 1980's, robot animations were becoming more and more reality oriented, but this series dared to take the action route, reminiscent of the super robot series in the 1970's. The series depicts the battle between Al Vegas and Dillinger's army in a richly entertaining manner, reminiscent of the super robot series of the 1970s. The main staff includes Kozo Morishita, director of "Saint Seiya," as well as the main writer of "Getter Robot. The main writers are Shozo Uehara (Getter Robot) and Akiyoshi Sakai (Space Warrior Baldios). The character design was done by Kageyama Norimichi of "Makyo Densetsu Acrobunch" fame. Mechanical design is by Koichi Ohata, who makes his debut with this work, and the combined action by Kazuhiro Ochi's original drawings is also a highlight. The music was composed by Watanabe Hiroaki of "Mazinger Z" fame, and the whole episode is filled with light and lively sounds. Includes episodes 1 through 22.
