DVD COLLECTION第2巻。『超電磁ロボ コン・バトラーV』に始まった八手三郎原作・東映製作による一連のアニメ作品の掉尾を飾る巨大ロボットアニメ。キャラクター原案に人気漫画家の居村真二を起用し、キャラクターデザインには本橋秀之、メカニックデザインには前作『光速電神アルベガス』に続いて小原髪夫、大畑晃一、ひおあきらが当たり、音楽も渡辺宙明が続投、同じくシリーズディレクターも森下孝三が継続して務めた。主人公・香取敬がプログラムした対戦ゲーム用のロボットが、物質電送実験中のアクシデントによって実体化してレザリオンが誕生。敬はそれを操縦できる唯一の人物としてシークレットフォースに組み込まれ、地球連邦軍の一員として戦火に身を投じてゆく。物語は大きく二部構成となっており、前半はゴッドハイド博士率いる月面反乱軍、後半はジャーク星から飛来した侵略者との戦いを主軸としている。レーザーフレームとレーザーユニットから成るレザリオンの奇抜なデザインや、それを表現するCGさながらの手描き作画、金田伊功らレジェンド級アニメーターが大挙参加した最終回も当時大きな話題となった。第23話～第45話を収録。越智一裕描き下ろしジャケット仕様。
