『円谷恐竜三部作』リリース! 第1弾は初DVD化の「恐竜大戦争アイゼンボーグ」! 円谷プロの新機軸の"恐竜シリーズ"第2弾として企画された本作はドラマパートはアニメで描かれ特撮パートは実写にて撮影されるという「立体アニメ」という手法を採用、前シリーズ作「ボーンフリー」とは違い本作では恐竜が人間を襲うという設定に変更されていた。物語は当初は善と愛の兄妹愛等を軸にシリアスな展開を見せたが、中盤以降は巨大ヒーローのアイゼンボーグの登場、敵が恐竜軍団から恐竜を操っていた怪獣軍団へと変遷、物語に厚みが加わった。また、コミカルな側面の話も加わり硬軟織り交ぜた作品として、完成度を上げていった。――地球内部には空洞が有り、そこには恐竜達が棲んでいた。しかも高等知能を持ち、身体も巨大化していた。そしてその中のティラノザウルス"帝王ウルル"の命令のもと人類を滅ぼし地上を征服すべく侵攻を始めた。対恐竜プロジェクト「D戦隊」のリーダー格の立花善と立花愛兄妹は過去の事故でサイボーグ手術を受けていた。ピンチが迫った時に善と愛は腕をクロス=アイゼンクロスさせることにより、パーフェクトサイボーグに変身する。と同時に2人が乗る恐竜戦闘車アイゼン1号も変形し翼のローリングカッターやアイゼンクロスカッター等の強力な攻撃力を持った「アイゼンボーグ号」になり、恐竜軍団の攻撃を駆逐、地球の平和を守るために戦う。1977年10月～1978年6月 東京12チャンネル(現: テレビ東京)系列にて放送。第36話～第39話を収録の第7巻。ブックレット封入(予定)。
