The screenplay is by Izuchi Kishu, who also wrote the TV drama "To Live, to Die, or to Be a Father" (TX) based on the novel by Jane Sue. The lead role is played by Manami Shindo, a former reporter for "King's Brunch" who has appeared in "Zuden Sentai Kyoryuger" and other TV dramas. Yohei, a man who is destined to meet Sayoko, is played by the talented young actor Yoshimura Kaito, who has appeared in numerous high-profile films such as "Midnight Swan" and "Mori no iru basho". The film also stars Yota Kawase, who starred in and produced "Gekijutsu", as a man who had a past relationship with Mitsuko. ---- Sayoko, a married woman who has been married for five years, is thinking about divorcing her husband. She begins looking for a place to live after her divorce and meets Yohei, a real estate agent. As they look at properties, they gradually get to know each other. 「映画芸術」2020 年ベストワン作品『れいこいるか』のいまおかしんじ監督最新作。次第に惹かれ合う男女の切ない恋模様を北海道の雄大な自然とともに描いたロードムービー。脚本はジェーン・スー原作のTVドラマ『生きるとか死ぬとか父親とか』(TX)を手掛けた井土紀州。主演は「王様のブランチ」リポーター出身で『獣電戦隊キョウリュウジャー』などに出演の新藤まなみ。小夜子と運命的に出会う男・洋平を演じるのは『ミッドナイトスワン』『モリのいる場所』など数々の話題作に出演の若手実力派・吉村界人。洋平の失踪した妻・光子役に『悲しき天使』の和田瞳、光子と過去に関係があった男に『激怒』で主演とプロデューサを務める川瀬陽太ら個性豊かな共演陣が揃った。――――結婚5年目の人妻・小夜子は夫との離婚を考えている。離婚後の住まいを探しはじめ、不動産屋の男・洋平と知り合う。物件を見ていくうちにしだいに打ち解けていく二人。小夜子は離婚を考えていること、洋平は妻が3年前に家を出てしまったことを打ち明ける。そうして小夜子が夫・五郎に別れ話を切り出そうとしていた矢先、逆に五郎から別れを告げられる。衝動的に家を出た小夜子だったが、行く当てはなく不動産屋の前に立ち尽くしていた。小夜子はそのまま洋平の部屋に転がり込む。洋平が失踪した妻・光子に未練を残していることを感じとった小夜子は「奥さんに会ってはっきりさせるべきだ」と洋平をけしかけ、光子探しの北海道への旅が始まる。
