This is indeed one of my favourite animated films. Isao Takahata's first work deserves praise today as it did when it was released back in 1968. If you're a fan of classic animation, this is the film you shoud get hold of - it displays beautiful artwork and a plain but robust story-line, capable of catching the viewer's attention from the beginning to the end.

Description
A theatrical anime opus nearly 3 years in the making, the 1968 film was made by the revered team of Hayao Miyazaki, Yasuo Otsuka and Isao Takahata. Takahata directed, with Miyazaki serving as the scenic desinger, and Otsuka as the animator. The moving tale depicts the adventures of a courageous young boy named Horus.

Old school anime. Great Hayo story with a nice backround using Norse Folklore. Story is about a boy Horus out to avenge his village from the devil Grunwald. Great story for all ages. Robert
