映画と舞台を完全連動させる新企画【東映 ムビ×ステ】が始動! 第1弾は、映画『GOZEN-純恋の剣-』&舞台『GOZEN-狂乱の剣-』。8人の男たちが臨む、命を懸けた「御前試合」。映画、舞台を通じて、この「御前試合」での攻防と、試合の出場者たちの秘めた想いが、鮮烈に描かれていく。映画『GOZEN-純恋の剣-』の主人公となる青山凛ノ介を演じるのは、「仮面ライダービルド」の主演で注目を浴びた犬飼貴丈。共演に優希美青、武田航平。メガホンをとるのは「平成仮面ライダーシリーズ」の巨匠・石田秀範監督。――まだ戦国の名残が残る、二代将軍・徳川秀忠の治世。幕府の隠密・青山凛ノ介は、幕府への謀反を企てている疑惑がある府月藩に潜入していた。その証拠となる書状が筆頭家老・神谷眞三郎の元にあるという情報を掴んだ凛ノ介は、神谷が参列する祭りに出かける。そこで美しい娘・八重と出会う。二人は瞬間的に惹かれ合うが、八重は他ならぬ神谷の娘であった。心を乱しながらも隠密としての使命を全うしようとする凛ノ介だったが・・・。
