平成仮面ライダーシリーズ第15作として、2013年10月～2014年9月に放送され、今なお圧倒的な人気を誇る「仮面ライダー鎧武/ガイム」に登場した仮面ライダー斬月を主役とする、平成仮面ライダーシリーズ初の演劇作品化! 「仮面ライダー鎧武/ガイム」TVシリーズから仮面ライダー斬月・呉島貴虎を演じる久保田悠来が舞台版でも同役で主演を務め、これまで描かれていない新たなオリジナルストーリーで、人間ドラマを深く描く! 脚本・演出を担当するのはTVシリーズの脚本も手掛けた毛利亘宏(少年社中)。そしてシリーズ原案・監修には虚淵玄(ニトロプラス)、脚本協力に鋼屋ジン(ニトロプラス)と、『仮面ライダー鎧武/ガイム』をつくりあげたスタッフが揃う、演劇作品としての新たな「鎧武外伝」。本編ディスク+ボーナスディスク(全アフタートーク、バックステージ映像)の2枚組。
