This is a story of a Japanese Buddhist monk in the Kamakura period and the founder of Jodo Shinshu (Shin Buddhism) sect in Japan. Shinran says that before Buddha everyone is all equal, but there is a strict social system in his time, and he and his fellow are heavily persecuted. . .
