Stigmatized Properties: Possession (Jiko Bukken Zoku Kowai Madori)

The latest installment in the massively successful "Stigmatized Properties" horror film series, one of the biggest hits in Japanese horror film history! A "jiko bukken" refers to a property where incidents such as murder, suicide, or fire-related deaths have occurred. Based on the real-life experiences of comedian Tanishi Matsubara, who continues to live in such properties, "Stigmatized Properties," originally starring Kazuya Kamenashi, now returns with a new protagonist and an even larger scale of properties, paranormal phenomena, and mysteries! Once again directed by Hideo Nakata, a master of horror known for "Ring" (1998) and many other hits. The new protagonist, Yahiro Kuwata, is played by Shota Watanabe (Snow Man), marking his first solo leading role in a film. -- Unable to give up his dream of becoming a talent, Yahiro moves from Fukuoka to Tokyo and, by chance, begins working as a "talent who lives in haunted properties." From "a room guaranteed to be possessed," to "a cursed old inn," to "a haunted share house"... Yahiro moves from one jiko bukken to another in search of content for TV programs and social media, uncovering the mysteries behind each property. However, his kind nature and susceptibility to spirits lead him to face one terrifying paranormal event after another!
