Kokoro no Me

[Machine Translation] After a predecessor band in August 2005, Asuka (vocal) and Gon (guitar) started their activities together, and Mitsuru (support drummer) officially joined in April 2009. The Fragments' songs are boldly expressing the ups and downs of emotions with rocking performances and melody lines that pierce the heart, sometimes violently, sometimes gently. Currently, the band performs live and records with a supporting bassist, and performs mainly at ZXwest in Nishi-Chiba, RED-Zone in Otsuka, and Clove in Machida, their hometown, as well as at various events in Tokyo. Asuka writes most of the lyrics, but most of the content is from a negative point of view. The lyrics are aimed at those who cannot change their negative thoughts no matter what is said, or those who are creating darkness in their hearts in today's society, with the thought that bright words do not always encourage others, and the hope that the negative multiplied by the positive will become a positive. As for the composition, GON did most of the work. The songs are not only standard rock, but also have fusion and progressive elements scattered throughout, symbolizing GON's own background. The future plans for the band are to release a CD at the beginning of the new year, and to start a live tour as a foundation for the next album to be released in the summer.

2005年8月に前身バンドを経て、ボーカル明日華・ギターGONの二人で活動開始。2009年4月にサポートドラムの充が正式加入。フラグメンツの曲調は、ロックな演奏と心に突き刺さるメロディ-ライン、時に激しく、時には優しく感情の起伏を大胆に表現している。現在、ライヴやレコーディングではベーシストにサポートメンバーを迎えて行い、西千葉ZXwest、大塚RED-Zone、地元でもある町田CloveでのLIVEを中心に、都内各地でのイベントの出演もこなしている。主な作詞は明日華が執筆しているが、内容的にはネガティブな観点のものがほとんどである。何を言われても自分のネガティブ的思想が変わらない人や、現代社会で心の闇を作っている人に向けて、明るい言葉が必ずしも相手を勇気付けるとは限らないという思いを歌詞にし、マイナスにマイナスをかけてプラスになってもらいたいというものが込められている。作曲に関してはGONがほとんど行っている。ただのスタンダードなロックにとどまらず、フュージョンやプログレ的要素を随所に散りばめた楽曲はGON自身のバックグラウンドを象徴している。今後の展望としては、年明けにリリースするCDのライブツアー活動を基盤とし、夏にむけて次回作の段取りを組むことである。
