In the summer of 2007, Seventh Heaven recruited Mutsuo Horie, known for his work with Starless and Terra Rosa, as drummer. 2001年に「流行に左右されない本格派ハードロックバンド」「ハードロックとしての普遍的なかっこよさ」をコンセプトに大阪にて結成される。その音楽性はクラシカルで叙情的メロディーラインを重厚なアレンジと劇的曲構成で盛り上げるというもの。ハードロックの美しさを究極まで追い求めることを目指している。ヘビーでシンフォニックな曲、疾走感のあるスピードナンバー、壮大なバラード等、曲調は多岐に渡るが、マイナー/メジャーな曲にかかわらず一環して「耳を捉える哀愁のメロディー」に重点を置いている。2005年にファースト・アルバムTHE GATE OF SEVENTH HEAVENを発売、BURRN!を始め幾多の雑誌やファンジン等で高評価を得る事により全国にSeventh Heavenの名前が知られる.2007年夏、Starless, Terra Rosaなどで知られる堀江睦男をドラマーとして獲得。キーボードには片岡がサポートプレイヤーとして復帰し、バンド史上最強の5人でセカンドアルバム制作開始。また、本作品には五十嵐"Angie."久勝(NOVELA, Nuovo Immigrato, Cyclone)が複数曲でゲストコーラスとして参加している。
