[Machine Translation] Scarlett's 4th single, based on the concept of "Shijo Han Rock," is a mixture of songs and Showa-era tastes, but with a hard and fresh sound. The first song, "Melancholy Waiting Man," which is the main title of the album, is an up-tempo song with a strong Showa-era song feel. 四畳半ロックというコンセプトを元に、歌謡曲と昭和テイストを織り交ぜつつも、ハードかつ新鮮さを求めたスカーレットの4thシングル音源完成。本作のメインタイトルとなっている1曲目を飾る「憂愁の待ち人」は、アップテンポながらもしっとりとした昭和歌謡感の強い楽曲。「未遂と少年」は激しくも和のテイストが強い楽曲、「歌声」はスカーレットの中では比較的明るい楽曲。コンセプトを大事にしつつも、1曲1曲が独特なストーリーをもつ今作。全国的に活動し、リリース前には先行発売ツアー、ツアーファイナルではワンマンライブが決定している。本作では、確立されたスカーレットの楽曲を、より全国で幅広く活動を共にする音源となる。
