本作は、人間に不可欠である『生』を独自の世界観で表現するアーティスト「みなみ」の1st Mini Album。制作期間に2年を費やした全7曲が収録。楽曲プロデュースには新進気鋭のクリエイターNGKが担当。タイトルのreBirth(リバース)には『再生』という意味がこめられており、生きる意味も見出だせず、何をするでもなく日々が過ぎていく…そんな心情に人間落ち込んだり生きることに疲れても、また立ち上がっていける強さを持っているのも、またヒトである。生まれ変わっても弱さも強さも持ち合わせたありのままの自分に生まれ変わりたい。皆がそう思える未来であって欲しいという思いを現代社会を描写し、メッセージ性が込もった作品でもある。アルバムジャケットのにはヒトの中に存在する、『善と悪』を『天使と悪魔』の表裏一体のもの比喩し、両方を持ち合わせて人間であるという飾り気のない真実を白と黒という単色で表現。 Track1 再生 / 本作品の全体的なコンセプトでもある『生 』を比喩し、生まれ変わってもありのままの自分に生まれ変わりたい、人間の根本の善悪の感情をダイレクトに表現した、メッセージ性を込めた楽曲でもある。小さい頃より音楽は常に身近にあり、みなみ自身生きるパワーをもらっていた。高校を卒業と同時に表現者になることを目指し、俳優養成所に通う。独自の世界観を生かしつつ声やステージでも表現できないか模索していたところ、友人の紹介でBANDヴォーカル加入。 2008年よりアーティスト名『みなみ』として本格的なソロ活動をスタート。プロデューサーNGKの元、楽曲制作Liveを続ける。都内Liveハウスで行われるLiveイベントのレギュラーとして着実にファンを増やす。2011/11/23 全7曲収録の1st Mini Album「reBirth」を発売。
