2022年5月4日に結成25周年を迎えたMUCC。16枚目のフルアルバム『新世界』のリリースを皮切りに、アウトテイクをまとめたミニアルバム『新世界 別巻』のリリース、そして過去にリリースされたアルバム8作品を再現するライヴツアー「Timeless」の開催と約1年半に及ぶ怒涛の"結成25周年イヤー"を走り切った。そんな25周年イヤーの締め括りとして最新アルバムをリリース。「Timeless」ツアーの開催に併せてリリースされた、当時の空気感を再表現した会場限定シングル6曲に加え、全4本の「Timeless」ツアーから当時の楽曲4曲を再録。また、22年ぶりの共演が話題を呼んだdeadmanとのツーマンライヴ「産声」の際に会場限定でリリースされた「死の産声」、今回のアルバムに併せて制作された最新曲「Timeless」の計12曲を収録。25周年の歴史とこれからのMUCCを感じることができる1枚となっている。
