An album that gently presents famous songs from Studio Ghibli films through soothing violin performances, intended for listeners of all ages and for moments when you want to take a quiet break. This is the second installment of a series that comfortably covers well-known Ghibli works in a classical style performed on violin. This release contains ten tracks selected with the themes of Studio Ghibli films and "the sea," featuring pieces associated with films set by the sea or memorable ocean scenes from the movies. Enjoy it together with the long-selling and well-received previous release "Violin Studio Ghibli." The performances and arrangements are by the young violinist Lisako Oshima, a graduate of Tokyo University of the Arts with a classical background, and the accompaniment features beautiful piano by Keigo Takakura, also a graduate of Tokyo University of the Arts. This instrumental cover album is presented throughout with a simple ensemble of violin and piano, recreating beloved Studio Ghibli classics you can listen to again and again. Following the previous work, the jacket illustration is newly drawn by Yoichi Watanabe, a painter known for Studio Ghibli backgrounds, and Shinichiro Yamada, an animator formerly with Studio Ghibli, and is inspired by Shimonada Station in Ehime Prefecture, said to be a model for the film "Spirited Away." Profile: Violin performance and arrangements by Lisako Oshima, a violinist from Aichi Prefecture who began studying violin in the United States at age five, graduated from the Faculty of Music at Tokyo University of the Arts, has won prizes in classical performance competitions in Japan and abroad, appeared in numerous TV and live media, supported recordings and live performances for artists such as Awich, V6, Mei Nagano, and KOHH, and has performed on soundtracks for films, animation, and television programs, including recent support work for Yuki Chiba under a global contract with Warner Music. Piano performance by Keigo Takakura, a promising young pianist who studied at the Paris Conservatoire and regional conservatory, completed a master's degree at the Graduate School of Music of Tokyo University of the Arts, and received the Geidai Clavier Award and the Acanthus Music Award.
