本名インドラ・グルン。ネパールの山岳民グルン族、ラムトン村に生まれ、幼い頃から山に吹き込む風に口笛を重ね合わせ、しだいに笛の音が自分の笛を守ってくれると感じるようになる。やがて手作りのバンスリ(竹笛)を奏でるようになった彼は、13歳でネパールの人気バンド「アンナプルナバンド」に参加し、1988年に初来日(八ヶ岳「いのちの」祭り」)。これをきっかけとして、翌年より日本に拠点をおいてソロのバンスリ奏者としての活動を続け、長野オリンピック「白馬文化芸術祭り」、彩の国県民芸術祭'98、岡山文化芸術祭2000、久保田一竹美術館の記念行事等々、日本各地で数々のライブを行っている。好評を泊した前作「クマリ」(2003年12月東風レーベルよりリリース)に続く今回のアルバムは、ROVOのメンバーで、SUPERCAR等も手掛けて高い評価を得ている益子樹をプロデューサーに迎え、様々な音楽要素を融合させた、不思議に心地よい音楽風景を描き出している。
