Yume de Aimasho

The album jacket was photographed by Kishin Shinoyama, a photographer, and is a CD featuring Osumi-san, who is hard to believe that she is a singer over 70 years old.

NHKでテレビ放送が始まった頃「夢で逢いましょう」という番組がスタートした。その番組テーマ曲を歌ったのが坂本スミ子である。この番組からは「上を向いて歩こう」ほか数々の名曲が生まれた以上に、日本を代表する役者を生み出した。坂本スミ子(愛称・おスミさん)は、当時のテレビ歌番組から他にも「夜が明けて」「たそがれの御堂筋」などのヒット作品を連発!小さな体からパンチの効いた歌声でラテン系の外国曲もヒットさせ日本にラテン楽曲のジャンルを定着させた。その後は女優としても大いに活躍し今村昌平監督の「楢山節考」では女優として活躍して国際的にも認知されるとともに主題歌「親を眠らす子守唄」もヒットさせた。すごいヒトなのだ!そのおスミさんが歌手生活50周年を迎えるにあたり初めてのCD録音へ挑戦し、全て新録音でセルフ・カバーしたアルバムを発表することになったのである。収録曲は、もちろん坂本スミ子を代表する「夢で逢いましょう」「夜が明けて」からラテンの名曲「エルクンバンチェロ」「ベサメムーチョ」ほか、ボーナストラック付きの新録音全12曲入りです。なお、このアルバムのジャケット撮影には写真家「篠山紀信氏」が撮影協力してくださいました。70歳を超えた歌手とは思えない、おスミさんのオスミツキCDです。
