Both were 18 years old at the time. Each of them had an acoustic guitar and sang songs with their own lyrics at live houses and on the streets. In November 1998, they made their debut as 19 ("Juke"). (19 disbanded at the end of March 2002). The topics and songs from their "Shonen Friend" days are the starting point of their activities, and the two have many fond memories of performing them often since then. In response to the many fans who regret the dissolution of the group and wish to hear their previously unreleased songs, we are releasing this album to reflect the wishes of Kenji Okahira and Keigo Iwase.

1998年3月～5月に録音された『少年フレンド』の楽曲のリリースです。後に19として知られることとなる岡平健治と岩瀬敬吾は、1997年に広島から上京し、『少年フレンド』というユニット名で東京での活動を始めました。当時共に18歳。それぞれアコースティックギターを持ち、それぞれの詞曲による楽曲を、ライブハウスやストリートで歌いまくっていました。そして1998年11月、19(ジューク)としてデビューしました。(19は2002年3月末に解散)。『少年フレンド』時代の話題や楽曲は、その後も度々披露していたほど二人にとって想い出も多く、2人の活動の原点ともいえます。解散を惜しみ、未発表曲も聴いてみたいと願う多くのファンの皆さんからの声に応える為に、岡平健治・岩瀬敬吾の意思を反映しリリースします。
