The futuristic city of Alphaville was recreated while shooting entirely on location in Paris, without the use of sets, miniatures, or special effects. In addition to Anna Karina and Jean-Pierre Leo, the film stars American actor Eddie Constantine, who gained popularity in France for playing the hit role of Remy Cauchon in the 1950s. --Secret agent Remy Cauchon arrives in the galactic nebula city of Alphaville. His mission is to find the agent Henri, who has lost contact with him, and to rescue or eliminate Professor Brown, a scientist who has defected to Alphaville.
