Even without being able to understand Japanese, I loved this movie so much I bought this Japanese DVD of the film and it is excellently made from a flawless widescreen print. My only complaint is that there is no alternate English track. This is a wonderfully creepy little film with fun special effects. There are a lot of extras on the disc such as interviews and a commentary which are sadly only in Japanese. Why was there not an alternate English track as well? It might come as a surprise but Americans love Japanese horror and science fiction films too so why not take that into consideration when making these DVDs? Still, I love this little movie and was just happy to finally be able to own a widescreen copy of it. It is a big improvement over the old panned and scanned copy I had seen once.
