Hai! Moshimoshi, Otsuka Yakkyoku desuga

[Machine Translation] Is there any medicine for first love? You want to talk to the girl you love, but you don't have the courage to do so, so you stare at her from afar, or you wait for her on the way home, pretending to be by chance... Yes, this is the Otsuka Pharmacy. Moshi moshi, Otsuka pharmacy desu" is the story of Manami, a pharmacy manager who has forgotten all about love and fashion and has become an old lady. The lead role of Manami Otsuka is played by Aya Enjoji, whose passionate performance in Isshin Inudo's "Bizan" and Takeshi Kitano's "Achilles and the Tortoise" have been much talked about. She has appeared in a wide range of films, stage productions, and TV dramas. The role of Emi Nagasaku, who revives her love for Manami, is played by Kana Kobayashi, a member of AKB48, an idol group that is popular not only in Japan but also abroad, in her first starring role in a movie. The role of Manami's daughter is played by Mayuko Arisue, a Seventeen exclusive model who is very popular among young girls, and the role of Hideki Arai, Emi's one-sided love, is played by Ryosuke Kawamura, a promising young actor. Directed by Yu Katsumata, whose short film "Kimi/Humming/Coffee" was an official nominee of the 32nd Pia Film Festival PFF Awards 2010. His first feature film "Audrey" was nominated for the 33rd Pia Film Festival and has been screened at numerous film festivals in Japan and abroad. This film took more than a year from planning to shooting. Katsumata's style is still alive and well in this film, with its realism in depicting the paleness characteristic of adolescence, its comical dialogue, and its insistence on filming on location in his hometown of Minami-Ashigara. Manami Otsuka (Aya Enjoji) is 40 years old and lives alone with her daughter after her husband dies. She is the manager of the small "Otsuka Pharmacy," but she is completely careless in her storekeeping, grooming, and housework. Even Eiko (Mayuko Arisue), the only daughter of a flamboyant junior high school gal, is appalled by her daily routine. The only thing she looks forward to is going "hunting" with Yumiko Kashiwano ( Atsumi Sakurai ), a fellow housewife in the neighborhood, at a supermarket's bargain sale just before closing time. One day, the tired Otsuka Pharmacy has a regular customer. She is Emi Nagasaku ( Kana Kobayashi ), a dull junior high school girl. Every day, Emi goes to the pharmacy and buys a bottle of nail polish of different colors. When Manami asks her about it, Emi tells her a secret. She believes in a spell that says her love will come true if she makes her nails colorful, and that she secretly has a crush on Hideki Arai ( Ryosuke Kawamura ), a boy in her class. The spell, classmates, unrequited love, third year of junior high school... As she listens to Emi's story, the memory of her first love comes back to Manami's mind. She remembers her favorite classmate, Daichi Sone ( Takuya Kaibon ), her best friend Saeko Yokohama ( Chinami Nakahara ), and herself ( Mika Kasahara ) 25 years ago when she was in love. However, Manami had lost her heart at that time. Manami gives love advice to Emi, as if to entrust her unfulfilled feelings to her. Somehow, she ignores Emi's feelings and gets heated up...
