However, the audition she went to with dreams and high hopes was a bust, and she had her car towed away, leaving her completely devastated. Dana takes pity on her and offers her a place to live and even a job at a club. Unable to tell her brother back home the truth, Lauryn is unable to leave Chicago, but one day a turning point occurs. One day, the club's star dancer arrives late and has to take the stage on short notice!
