役者・芸人・作家・アーティスト・・・マルチな活動で各メディアに登場を繰り返し、認知度が加速度的に上昇してブレイク寸前のマキタスポーツ。本格始動第1弾としてリリースするのは、テレビ東京の人気番組「ゴッドタン」の"芸人マジ歌選手権"企画で誕生した、マキタスポーツ扮するダークネス率いる V 系ロックバンド「マキタスポーツ presents Fly or Die」。はじめはテレビの企画ものから派生して登場したユニットであるが、化粧を施したV系の仮面の奥から、マキタ自身のアーティストとしてのクリエイティヴィティが噴出してやまない。そんなアンビバレント (=矛盾)なマキタの立ち位置がアルバム全体に溢れるコンセプトアルバム。
