Mori no uta

I first heard Honya Mikako's music playing as an adorable BGM for some free sozai website, and not even knowing that the instrument she played was an ocarina, I went ahead and ordered this CD on whim. To this date, this is probably one of the most beautiful CDs I have ever owned in my life -- each and every song creates such an atmosphere. I feel all sorts of emotions listening to this: e.g. cheerfulness, wishing to take a walk in the woods, floating on clouds, breathing in fresh clean air, etc. It's just one of those priceless things you wish more people have heard of, so you can appreciate it together. Yet all the same, there is also this lovely personal feeling to the music on this CD. Almost like a message from the artist, "Here is my little gift, just for you." On my last trip to Japan, I picked up most of Ms. Honya's discography. However, this is where I purchased my first and favourite album of hers, and I wish for others who stumble upon this page to know that the CD is simply beautiful!
