俳優、ミュージシャンなど各方面で活躍し続ける佐野史郎が約4年ぶりのニューアルバム、その名も『ALBUM』をリリースする。本作は、2019年に発売された前作『禁断の果実』に続き、佐野自身も影響を受け、尊敬してやまないSKYE (鈴木茂・小原礼・林立夫・松任谷正隆)のメンバーと制作された作品で、佐野史郎が作詞、作曲し、自身が影響を受けてきた音楽が色濃く落とし込まれた珠玉の楽曲にSKYEの卓越した演奏が重なりあった、佐野史郎とSKYEでしか表現することが出来ないロックサウンドになっている。佐野自身は、最近まで闘病中であったが、病を乗り越え『禁断の果実』に続く次のアルバムをと、SKYEメンバーも賛同し、今回の『ALBUM』リリースが実現した。また、『ALBUM』というタイトルは、写真のアルバムのイメージと重ね、これまでに発表したことのある楽曲を新たに現像、プリントし直し、また、新曲は過去の作品と分け隔てずに、いつかは同じように過ぎ去っていった時間を収めたものとして触れることを想いながら名付けられた。まるで1970年代にリリースされた幻のアルバムを発掘したかのような『ALBUM』を楽しんで頂きたい。
