10 Nen

[Machine Translation] Kumiko presents a new pop song for adults in 2021. The new single is a re-recording of "Jyunen" (lyrics and music by Miyuki Nakashima) and "Jinsei no Merry-Go-Round" (lyrics by Wakako Kaku, music by Joe Hisaishi), which were released as album tracks in her AVEX days. The original song "Jyunen" was provided by Miyuki Nakajima for the album, and the Brazilian producer Renato Iwai, a Brazilian living in Japan, arranged the song with a city bossa flavor to deepen its Brazilian sound. The lyrics of the song are about the breakup of a man and a woman, but this time the theme of the song is multilayered, including Kumiko's thoughts on the "10 years" since the earthquake disaster she experienced in Tohoku. The theme song for the Ghibli film "Howl's Moving Castle," "Life's Merry-Go-Round," was newly arranged by Takatsugu Muramatsu. The dramatic string arrangement and acoustic band arrangement of this song fully expresses the scale of the film.
