The poem was written by Makiko Suga, who wrote the hit song "Hotarubi no Koi" three years ago, and the music was composed by Hideo Mizumori, the same composer as in the previous work. The arrangement was done by Toshihiro Sugimura, who is well known for his delicate yet profound work. The coupling song "Izakaya Kazusa" by up-and-coming lyricist Waka Horiuchi and composer Ayumu Michi is included on both sides of the album.

かずさ演歌の真髄、極まる! 叶わなかった恋に決別して新たな生き方を始めようとする女性の心情を歌った"若山かずさ"王道の楽曲。作詩は3年前のヒット曲「蛍火の恋」を手掛けた菅麻貴子氏を迎え、作曲は前作同様に水森秀夫氏を起用。アレンジには、繊細且つ重厚感のある仕上がりに定評のある杉村俊博氏を据えた。また、カップリングには新進の作詞家・堀内和香氏といぶし銀の作曲家、みちあゆむ氏によるほのぼの演歌「居酒屋『かずさ』」を収録。AB面ともにメロ譜付き。
