[Machine Translation] Crucifixion, Kyoto, September 9, 1977. This live recording captures the atmosphere of the night and the time that passed. The Caribbean storm supporting the back-up band includes Toshiaki Hayashi (ds), Masaaki Yamamoto (b), Shoji Namba (p), Teruyuki Kokufu (p), and Eiryu Hong (g), all of whom are masters of the East and West, giving rich shadows to Kyozo Nishioka's songs and words. The repertoire selected from his four works, "At Dylan," "Town to Village," "Rokkabaimai Beibi," and "Travels in South America," traces the steps of Nishioka's career and touches the heart of his music at the same time. The repertoire includes "Puka Puka", a standard covered by Keisuke Kuwata, Masaharu Fukuyama, and many other artists, "Circus ni Pierrot ga Clown", and "Rokkabai Mai Beibii" (not included on the LP analog version), a collaboration with Haruomi Hosono, which was also included on Hosono's first solo album. 京都・磔磔、1977年9月9日。その夜の空気と流れた時間を封じ込めた実況録音盤。バックを支えるカリブの嵐には、林敏明 (ds)、山本正明 (b)、難波正司 (p)、国府輝幸 (p)、洪栄龍 (g)といった東西の名手たちが集い、西岡恭蔵の歌と言葉に豊かな陰影を与えている。『ディランにて』『街行き村行き』『ろっかばいまいべいびい』『南米旅行』の4作から選ばれたレパートリーは、西岡の歩みをたどると同時に、その音楽の核心へと触れていくような内容。桑田佳祐や福山雅治をはじめ多くのアーティストがカヴァーするスタンダード「プカプカ」、そして「サーカスにはピエロが」をはじめ、細野晴臣との共作であり、細野のファースト・ソロ・アルバムにも収録された「ろっかばいまいべいびい」 (LPアナログ盤には未収録)など、代表曲を一望できるベスト・セレクション的な一作となっている。LPアナログ盤はA式ジャケット印刷、当時の帯を復刻。国内プレス、33 1/3rpm 、歌詞カード復刻封入。
