ピリオド楽器の名手、鈴木秀美と小島芳子によるロマンス小品集をリリース!! 19世紀末にチェリストとして活躍していたポッパー、ダヴィドフ等が作曲したものと、フォーレやエルガー等名の知れた作曲家による後期ロマン派の"ロマンス"集。19世紀後半の作品はほとんど現代の楽器を使い、現代的で過度なロマンティックな奏法/表現で弾かれ録音されているが、本作はピリオド(オリジナル)楽器と当時の奏法にこだわった作品となっている。2002年3月録音。24bitレコーディング。
