Description

After 18 years, the brothers are back! Actually, with Jake (John Belushi) gone, there's only one brother, but Elwood (Dan Aykroyd) gains 3 awsome compadres on the road this time, along with the original band guys back with him to go on another God's mission, this time to win the legendary blues contest in Louisiana. The three new guys are Mighty Mack (John Goodman), a bartender with a good voice who replaces Jake, Buster (J. Evan Bonifant) a 10-year-old orphan, and Cab (Joe Morton) a state policeman who happens to be Elwood's stepbrother. Their Loisiana rival band includes cameos by the likes of Gary U.S. Bonds, Eric Clapton, Clarence Clemons, Bo Diddley, Isaac Hayes, Billy Preston, among others. One thing I still wonder about is while all the other important actors/musicians from the first film are back except for the three dead guys (Belushi, Cab Calloway, John Candy), why isn't Ray Charles in this one?
