TVアニメシリーズ全74話が待望のネガスキャンHDリマスターBlu-rayで登場!! BOX第1巻! 『UFOロボ グレンダイザー』は永井豪氏原作のテレビアニメであり、『マジンガーZ』『グレートマジンガー』から連なる、いわゆる「マジンガーシリーズ」と同じ世界観を持つ作品である。UFOスペイザーと合体するグレンダイザーは劇場映画『宇宙円盤大戦争』に登場するガッタイガーをベースにしたもので、その特徴的なデザインは作品に強烈なイメージを与えた。また、その物語も『宇宙円盤大戦争』からドラマチックなテイストを盛り込み、登場人物特に宇門大介ことデューク・フリードの性格設定が陰影に富んだものとなった。さらに『マジンガーZ』の主人公である兜甲児もレギュラー出演。のちに牧葉ひかる、グレース・マリア・フリードとともにスペイザーチームを結成し、デュークの乗るグレンダイザーとともにベガ星連合軍と戦いを繰り広げる。なお、アニメ用のメインキャラクターデザインは小松原一男氏と荒木伸吾氏、姫野美智氏が担当。華麗なタッチで描かれた人物たちがドラマチックなストーリーを支えていた。――全宇宙の侵略を企むベガ星連合軍が、月の裏側に建設した「スカルムーン」を前線基地に、ついに地球へ攻撃をしかけてきた。それを知った青年・宇門大介は、これまで隠し通してきた過去に向き合い、ベガ星連合軍に立ち向かう決意を固めた。シラカバ牧場で平和に暮らしてきた彼の正体は、故郷であるフリード星を侵略され、UFOロボ・グレンダイザーに乗って地球に逃れてきた宇宙人だったのだ。彼は再びグレンダイザーに乗り込み、かつてマジンガーZに乗り込んで地球を守った兜甲児や妹のマリアなど、周囲の人々に支えられながらベガ星よりの刺客を撃破してゆく。だが、勝利への道はとても平坦とは言えない。幼なじみであるナイーダとの再会や、母の仇との対決など、大介の前には数々の苦難が待ち受けている・・・。1975年10月～1977年2月フジテレビ系にて放送。第1話～第37話を収録。越智一裕描き下ろしジャケット仕様。ブックレット封入。(予定)
