放送開始50周年を記念して、「人造人間キカイダー」のTVシリーズBlu-rayが、お求めになりやすい価格で登場!! 第1巻。石ノ森章太郎原作、変身ブーム真っ只中の1972年7月～1973年5月にNET(現・テレビ朝日)系列にて放送された「人造人間キカイダー」。"正義と悪の狭間で苦悩する人造人間"というテーマのもとに制作された本シリーズは、ギターを弾きながら登場する人造人間ジローや、不完全な良心回路を表現した左右非対称のキカイダー・デザイン、シリーズ後半に登場する悪のヒーロー・ハカイダーなど、様々な話題を振りまき大ヒット。当時絶大な人気を博していた「仮面ライダー」に続く、石ノ森ヒーローの代表作品となった。――逃亡者は不完全な人造人間だった――機械でありながら、より人間らしくあろうと戦った人造人間の物語。ロボット工学の権威である光明寺博士は、プロフェッサーギル率いる悪の秘密結社「ダーク」に軟禁され、娘のミツ子とともに戦闘用アンドロイドの研究を強いられていた。光明寺博士はダークに対抗する手段として、善悪が判断できる「良心回路」を取り付けた人造人間ジローを密かに造っていたのだった。しかし、良心回路は不完全なまま、その研究はギルに知れ、研究室は襲撃を受ける。炎上する研究室から光明寺博士はジローにミツ子を託し消息を断つ。一方、ジローはギルの悪魔の笛に抵抗し、苦しみながらもキカイダーに変身、ダークのアンドロイドに挑むのだった。第1話～第18話収録。

This blu-ray has definitely no extras. So that it is cheaper? Well...I think it should have been much more cheaper. But at least this time I am able to get a blu-ray copy. I did not know how to get the first release blu-ray at that time. Now I found a way.
